In the past, dental restorations needed at least two dentist appointments since physical impressions were made and shipped to a dental laboratory. Our dental team is very happy to offer CEREC technology for one-visit restorations. CEREC (short for ceramic reconstruction) utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) equipment to make the restoration at our office as you wait. Concerned Dental Care uses the CEREC system to make custom crowns, bridges, onlays, and inlays. The CEREC system may also be utilized for cosmetic dentistry to make customized veneers. This innovative treatment permits you to bypass the discomfort and time of physical dental impressions and temporary covers. Schedule an appointment at one of our New York area offices to find out more about CEREC restorations.

CEREC can help you finish your restorative or cosmetic dental treatment in a single appointment. You may get a custom bridge, crown, inlay, onlay, or veneers using CEREC technology. CEREC helps you avoid numerous appointments and messy dental impressions, and you get temporary covers. CEREC same-day restorations can also be helpful if you have an emergency, such as a chipped tooth or crown.

I had a great cleaning with my hygienist Ms.Facey. My issue is with the reception. When I arrived it was 10 minutes before my appointment which was 11am. I sat there, was not given any paperwork and they did not inform my hygienist that I was there. She was too busy laughing and chatting at the front. When I saw my hygienist was 22 minutes after 11am. I had to go up to the reception area and ask her if she informed Ms. Facey that I was there. She thought I didn’t make it. When it was time for me to see Dr. Schwartz, his assistant asked if I was given paperwork to fill out. I was not. The reception has to do better.

Your CEREC treatment will begin with a consultation at one of our New York locations so we can make your personal treatment program. The procedure will need an electronic scan of your teeth. The scan will help us accurately manufacture your restoration. From there, your restoration will be sent to the CEREC system to be made. The amount of time required to create your restoration will be dependent on its size. Once the restoration is made, we will complete and polish the item before cementing it in place. Then, we can adjust the restoration so it fits properly and blends with your natural teeth.

After your CEREC restoration is made, it's essential to keep up a good at-home oral hygiene regimen. You should also schedule yearly dental examinations and bi-annual cleanings. At every appointment, we will assess your restoration and perform any necessary repairs or alterations that will help keep your teeth healthy. If cared for correctly, CEREC restorations can last for many years.

About Us

CEREC dental restorations are usually partially paid for by dental insurance. We'll get in touch with your insurer to determine your benefits and what your out-of-pocket expenses will be. If you don't have insurance, we can go over the various payment options we take, including low-interest medical financing.

Concerned Dental Care understands that time is important and several follow-up visits to the dentist aren't always easy. That's the reason our patients enjoy the convenience of CEREC one-visit restorations. While maintaining quality, our dental team can complete your treatment in one appointment by making a personalized ceramic bridge, crown, inlay, onlay, or veneers.
