Concerned Dental Care Reviews
I went to Concerned dental in need of all four of my Wisdom teeth removed. After a consult with Dr Herman he suggested we remove all four at once, this was a little concerning to me especially since he does not use I.V sedation. I opted to just get two removed at a time, upper and lower right side. Once I was completely numb Dr Herman made sure I was comfortable and couldn't feel anything before he Began the extraction. Once he started all I felt was some pressure, and in less than 5min both teeth were removed. I didn't even realize both teeth were done! I had very little discomfort later on at night that a couple of Advil helped with. I had absolutely no swelling at all, even the next day. I will be going back to have my other two removed. I appreciate Dr. Herman making me feel comfortable and acknowledging my concerns!

How Does Sedation Work?
What you can expect during your dental treatment with sedation will vary based on your amount of anxiety, the treatment you're receiving, and, lastly, the form of sedation being utilized. Nitrous oxide sedation provides gentle, relaxing feelings and is given through a small nose covering. Orally administered sedative drugs, on the other hand, are provided in a pill form an hour in advance of your visit and provide you with a moderate dose of anxiety reduction. IV sedation is injected into the veins and gives a higher level of tranquilizer. Although IV sedation allows you to remain awake, you will typically feel like you have slept through your visit. A localized numbing ointment is put into the chosen region to numb the teeth, gum line, and nerves and could be integrated with other effective solutions.
What Can I Expect After Sedation Dentistry?
Prior to providing sedation methods at our New York City facilities, our dental team will go over what you should anticipate following your treatment and give you any critical home care directions. In the event that you were given orally administered or intravenous tranquilization, make sure to bring another adult to escort you home, as you will not be allowed to drive. Our staff advises that you rest and hydrate after undergoing sedation dentistry procedures at Concerned Dental Care. You can expect to feel sleepy and unenergetic for the next few hours, but these symptoms typically subside within a day.
