If you are thinking about straightening your smile without traditional orthodontics, clear aligners from Concerned Dental Care are an excellent choice. With clear aligners, your teeth and bite could be dramatically fixed without the bulk and annoyance of traditional metal braces. Candid clear aligners are custom-made appliances that fit comfortably and allow freedom from dietary restrictions. These aligners may be immediately taken out before you eat so that you don't need to be concerned about sticky foods as you would with traditional braces. To learn more about the clear aligners we offer at our New York City, NY offices, schedule an appointment with our dental team today.

The clear aligners we offer at our New York City office may be a good choice when your teeth are crooked, crowded, or misaligned, or if you've got a dental malocclusion (poor bite). They may also be effective if you have a severe overbite, rotated teeth, or excessive gapping. Additionally, the clear aligners we offer make it hard for other people to tell you're wearing orthodontics. The aligners are also removable, so they can be taken out when you clean your teeth, eat, and for special events. Compared to Invisalign® clear aligners, these options may be less expensive. When you visit our office for a clear aligner consultation, we will carefully explain all of your orthodontic choices and answer all of your questions so you can decide if Candid or another option is the best treatment method for you.

I had a great cleaning with my hygienist Ms.Facey. My issue is with the reception. When I arrived it was 10 minutes before my appointment which was 11am. I sat there, was not given any paperwork and they did not inform my hygienist that I was there. She was too busy laughing and chatting at the front. When I saw my hygienist was 22 minutes after 11am. I had to go up to the reception area and ask her if she informed Ms. Facey that I was there. She thought I didn’t make it. When it was time for me to see Dr. Schwartz, his assistant asked if I was given paperwork to fill out. I was not. The reception has to do better.

As soon as you choose the type of clear aligner you want, we will take x-rays of your teeth and jaw and create dental impressions that'll be used to make your aligners. After we receive your aligners, a team member will call you to schedule a fitting. You should expect to have appointments every few weeks. During these appointments, we will assess your progress and give you new aligners as your teeth change. In the event you lose or damage an aligner, just give us a call and we can have replacement aligners made so that it is possible to continue treatment without having to wait until your next appointment. Based on the position of your teeth and the total amount of correction needed, your prescribed orthodontic treatment could last 12 – 24 months (about eight stages of treatment).

We will require regular visits to monitor your progress and to make adjustments as needed. It is also extremely important to keep your teeth and your aligners clean so you don't end up with tooth decay. Flossing, brushing, and rinsing with mouthwash after you take out the aligners is a fantastic habit to start. You should also rinse or clean the aligners before putting them back in your mouth. It's important to keep your aligners in their protective case while eating so you don't lose them.

Once your treatment is complete, you may need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth from going back to their initial place. We will walk you through this process. You should continue to make annual dental exams in Concerned Dental Care so our team can monitor your teeth, alignment, and total dental health.
